Verizon Innovative Learning Social Content

Verizon Innovative Learning is an education initiative that serves Title 1 middle schools across the United States. The program provides free technology, free internet access and a next-gen, technology-infused STEAM curriculum so that the students have the tools they need to be successful to pursue future careers in technology.

Hackathons

In partnership with Games for Change (G4C) we launched an XR Hackathon program to introduce students to 5G technology, and inspire them to conceptualize and build XR  projects that demonstrate how 5G can have a positive social impact in their communities. We also brought in celebrity guest judges who have a personal connection to the initiative.

The Teacher’s Diary

As schools moved to remote learning during the Covid-19 crisis, we wanted to show how our Verizon Innovative Learning teachers were using technology to make sure their students continued learning when they were away from the classroom. This weekly IG Story-based series followed a different teacher as they navigated their way through virtual learning.
